National Slow Down Operation
You may already be aware that An Garda Síochána are rolling out a “National Slow Down Operation” for the Bank Holiday weekend (this Friday, May 31st and Saturday June 1st) and have requested our assistance in supporting this initiative. This operation will consist of high visibility speed enforcement activities as well as national and local media campaigns.
The objective of this operation is to reduce the number of speed related collisions and therefore save lives, reduce injuries and remind drivers of the dangers of speeding.
