Movember 2024 Men’s Health Awareness Month

Movember 2024 is Men’s Health Awareness Month set in November and today marks International Men’s Day. It is an annual global campaign that encourages men to grow mustaches and participate in various activities to raise awareness about men’s health issues. By focusing on the physical and mental well-being among men, it addresses issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health challenges, and suicide prevention. It creates a platform were men can feel safe to discuss their health openly, seek support, and take proactive steps towards a healthier and happier life.

How To Get Involved

Why not support the men in your life and get involved on social media. Consider using the following relevant hashtags to connect with others dedicated to men’s health:
#Movember
#MensHealth
#GrowAMo
#SuicidePrevention
#ProstateCancerAwareness
#MentalHealthMatters
#MoBros

Six Pillars of International Men’s Day

  • To promote positive male role models: not just movie stars and sportsmen but everyday men who are living decent, honest lives.
  • To celebrate men’s positive contributions to society, community, family, marriage, childcare, and the environment.
  • To focus on men’s health and well-being: social, emotional, physical, and spiritual.
  • To highlight discrimination against men in areas of social services, social attitudes, expectations, and law.
  • To improve gender relations and promote gender equality.
  • To create a safer, better world, where people can be safe and grow to reach their full potential.

60 men are lost to suicide globally, every hour. This is why raising awareness is so important.
