Deputy Director of Health Technology Assessment

HIQA is recruiting a Deputy Director of Health Technology Assessment for its Health Technology Assessment Directorate.

The purpose of this role is to join a multidisciplinary team with responsibility for the effective implementation of HIQA’s programmes to deliver high quality health technology assessments, other evidence-based advice and evidence synthesis outputs, and therefore to embed evidence-based methodology in the health decision-making processes in Ireland. The HTA Directorate, overall, comprises approximately 60 analysts.

HIQA works collaboratively with high-level stakeholders, with academic groups and with HTA agencies from other countries to deliver on these objectives. The scope of the HTA Directorate’s work includes providing evidence synthesis and evidence-based advice to inform public health policy and providing HTAs to inform decision making on investment or disinvestment in health technologies and programmes, including decisions in relation to national screening and national immunisation programmes. The Deputy Director will actively engage in the work of the HTA directorate and of HIQA to deliver on the annual business plan in line with the strategic objectives as outlined in HIQA’s Corporate Plan.

Communications Manager

HIQA is recruiting a Communications Manager for its Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Directorate.

The Communications Manager will assist the Head of Communications and Stakeholder Engagement in implementing the communications strategy of the Authority.  The successful candidate will play a lead role in helping to enhance the reputation of the Authority through all of its stakeholder communications.

Programme Co-ordinator – Stakeholder Engagement and Communications – Disability Services

HIQA is recruiting a Programme Co-ordinator – Stakeholder Engagement and Communications for its Chief Inspector – Disability Services Directorate.

The Programme Co-ordinator will support the delivery of high-quality communications and engagement activity across the disability services directorate. This role involves managing internal and external stakeholder relationships, and activity, to ensure consistent communication across the business administration function while working closely with the National Operations Manager and Deputy Chief Inspector for the Disability Services Directorate.

Disability Services Directorate. This will include support with internal communication, external messaging, and creation of professional reports, stakeholder engagement, including in-person and webinar, event co-ordination.

The role combines leadership, operational and quality improvement responsibilities. The Programme Co-ordinator is required to work proactively and collaboratively within the team and wider organisation, and liaise with a range of external stakeholders ensuring the smooth operation of the communication and engagement function of the disability services directorate.
