How to Apply
Are you a passionate healthcare professional looking for flexible and rewarding temporary placements? With our candidate-focused approach and extensive network of healthcare clients, we are committed to finding the perfect fit for you.
HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT:
Once you express interest, our recruitment team will guide you through every stage of the onboarding process. You’ll begin by completing an online application form, followed by a short phone or video interview. From there, you’ll move through essential steps like Garda vetting, compliance documentation, occupational health clearance, and any required training.
The entire process is designed to be smooth and supportive, with clear communication at each step. Once your compliance is complete, you’ll be activated in our system and ready to begin receiving placements that match your skills and preferences.

Payment
Payments are made on a weekly basis and cover the shifts that have been completed and signed off for payment during the previous week.
PAY RATES:
- HSE Facilities:
Pay rates are based on the official HSE payscale (download the March 2025 rates).
Pay progression occurs every 48 weeks worked with Servisource.
Experience verification is required, and only experience gained in public facilities is accepted (with the exception of nurses).
- Private Facilities:
Different rates apply for private facilities. Your bookings coordinator will be able to provide specific details.
Uniforms
At Servisource, we provide staff uniforms tailored to your role—whether you’re a Healthcare Assistant, Nurse, or part of the Domestic/Catering team. To maintain a professional and consistent appearance, team members are required to order and wear the appropriate uniform for their position.

Training
Boost your skills and stay compliant with accredited healthcare training courses designed specifically for agency staff. At Servisource, we offer a range of essential training to support you in delivering safe, high-quality care across all settings.
Courses include:
- Fire Safety
- People Moving & Handling
- CPR
- MAPA (Prevention and Management of Work-Related Aggression & Violence)
Most of these are available through our €3.50 Training Scheme, helping you stay qualified without the high cost.
We also offer discounted HACCP Level 1 & 2 Food Safety training exclusively for Servisource staff.

Your ID badge will be posted to your home address upon completion of our onboarding process. Please contact our recruitment team at healthcarerecruiting@servisurce.iefor assistance.
Download the free ‘Zapp Mobile App’ from the App Store or Google Play. Log in using the email address and password provided to you by Zapp. If you experience login issues, please contact zapp@servisource.ie.
With the Zapp app, you can:
- Update your personal details (e.g. phone number, address)
- Upload documents and training certifications
- Set your availability or create shift patterns
- View, accept or decline shifts
- Track shift details, locations, and notes
- Sign off shifts for payment (no timesheets required!)
- Receive real-time messages and notifications
Go to ‘My Calendar’ in the Zapp app:
- Tap a date to mark yourself available or unavailable.
- Use the ‘Make Pattern’ button to create repeating availability (e.g. same days every week).
- Tap ‘Apply’ to save your changes.
Remember: You must mark yourself available to receive shifts.
- Go to ‘My Shifts’ in the app.
- Under ‘Shift Requested’, tap on the shift.
- Review details like location, ward, time, and notes.
- Tap Accept or Refuse.
- Tap the relevant shift.
- Scroll down and select ‘Sign off’.
- Enter your worked hours and break time.
- Submit for approval via:
- Self-submit (if allowed), or
- Client Sign Off using your manager’s email and PIN.
- Go to ‘My Documents’ in the app.
- Tap on the document type (e.g. GNIB, Manual Handling).
- Select the file from your phone and input the expiry date.
- Once uploaded, the status will show as ‘Pending Validation’.
You’ll receive a notification when it’s validated or near expiry.
You must keep your documents valid and up to date to remain eligible for shifts. Zapp will send a notification when a document is close to expiry. You can check expiry dates via the ‘My Documents’ tab or the web app at zapp.servisource.ie.
